Why use a window cleaning robot?
Washing windows at home is a mandatory task, especially if you want to enjoy the natural light from outside. However, before you can brighten up your living room or enjoy the sunlight in your veranda, you will have to go through the chore of cleaning the windows!
Scrubbing, polishing, stripping, you're going to need elbow grease and patience. Not to mention that you'll have to climb onto a chair to properly wash the top of the window, or even onto a stepladder or ladder for your veranda. Scrubbing vigorously at arm's length is not the most enjoyable thing, you'll agree.
Luckily, window cleaning robots are here to do the window cleaning for you! If you are looking for an effective solution to say goodbye to the chore of cleaning windows, our window cleaning robot is made for you:

Household robots, like many new household technologies, contribute to the automation and simplification of repetitive tasks. A window cleaning robot never gets tired, it cleans the windows for you so that you can do something else in the meantime.
But also, the task being made simpler, will be done more often. If you are reluctant to wash the windows every month (we don't blame you, it is a task that takes time and is physically demanding), and that sometimes your windows could remain dirty for a good part of the year, this will not be the case for your window cleaning robot which will be happy to do its job very often.
Your windows will be clean all year round, and all without lifting a finger.
The window cleaning robot is therefore for most of us, who have large glass surfaces, French windows and verandas, a truly effective solution, which will greatly simplify our daily lives.
For example, with the V3clean window cleaning robot, you just have to press a button and place it on any window and it will clean it completely, without forgetting even the smallest square centimetre.
With it, your windows will be sparkling all year round, and without the slightest effort!
How does window cleaning robot technology work?

When you heard about window cleaning robots, you probably imagined a human-shaped robot that would first spray window cleaner and then start scrubbing vigorously with its robotic arm, making a din of metallic noise.
Unfortunately, the reality is a little less spectacular. The devices currently available go straight to the point, namely, attaching to the wall and rubbing.
Cleaning efficiency and energy saving depend on the different features and programs.
It is also important to differentiate between window cleaning devices such as magnetic window cleaners and electric squeegees and real robots, which do not require human intervention during cleaning.
Among window cleaning robots there are two main families, one comprising square or rectangular models, which move on the wall with a microfiber cloth.

These models move using high-torque rubber tracks. In fact, they have to fight against the robot's suction to move it. The suction exerts a force perpendicular to the window, while the track makes the robot move parallel to it.
This suction is necessary to ensure the robot adheres to the glass wall. It must be relatively powerful, and exert a tight vacuum, to be sure not to slip.
Here again, as you will have understood, the rectangular models are faced with a paradox where the track must force against a suction made to be as strong as possible.
This often results in the robot leaving a trail along the track.
But there is also another form of robot, equipped with two rotating skates, which by alternating the suction from one to the other, can move more fluidly.
This technology is what we use on our device.

It limits the resistance between the robot's movements on the window and the suction.
The robot will move using its two skates one after the other. In addition, the surface in contact with the bay window is made only of microfiber, which avoids the traces that the tracks of a rectangular model could have left.
In all cases, window cleaning robots, regardless of their shape, must be plugged into the mains during operation.
This allows for greater power and no time limit, compared to if they were battery-powered. There are now a few rare battery-powered models, but their purchase cost is twice that of wired window cleaning robots, while their autonomy rarely exceeds 25 minutes. Which is not enough to wash all the windows in a house.
But how will our robot degrease the wall?
Now that we've covered the technical issues surrounding the robot's grip on the glass and its movement, let's look at what allows the robot to clean your windows until they're sparkling.
We previously explained that there are several forms of window cleaning robots, and well there are also several cleaning systems! Some robots use what is called an automatic product dispenser. The dispenser is placed on the robot, and it is inclined towards the glass surface.
Its role is to spread the product on the window as it is cleaned.
This sounds like a good idea, but in reality, this feature complicates the use of the device, increases the risk of breakdown, and does not increase the quality of cleaning…
In fact, despite the presence of the spray, you will still need to put some product on the robot's pads before starting cleaning, so that they are moistened enough to be correctly attached to the window.
The presence of the product under the pads has a considerable impact on the robot's grip. Let's not forget that the window is a smooth surface that is difficult to hold on to. The tank with the diffuser is therefore not very useful, because it does not allow instant humidification of the pads, so from the start of cleaning, you will still be forced to put product on the pads yourself!
Especially since this functionality, including water and a sprayer, entails additional costs, and therefore the selling price of the robot is often higher.
This is partly because the manufacturer will have to provide additional margin to be able to support failures related to this feature in after-sales service. This is the reason why we do not offer this feature. Too many failures, more after-sales service, and no interest for the consumer.
We prefer to stick with the classic model, which is extremely effective: simply spray the product on the skates. This provides a streak-free cleaning result, as successful as that of models with sprayers, but without the drawbacks of the latter!
Why buy a window cleaning robot, rather than another type of window cleaning device?
The window cleaning robot has the distinct advantage of not requiring human intervention to work. It is placed on the window, and it cleans, without you having to control it with a remote control, or even monitor it.
It therefore allows you to approach household chores in a different way. Indeed, it is not a simple assistance, but a complete support. Especially since its action is not limited to windows, you can use it on shower walls, earthenware, and all other smooth surfaces.
So, in reality, you won't have to do many of your daily household chores at all. And unlike cleaning aids like magnetic cleaners and electric squeegees, you don't have to work your elbow grease.
You also don't have to make any effort to reach inaccessible surfaces (high parts of windows, veranda roofs, windows upstairs). And again, cleaning aids don't allow you to free up your time.
You are the one who must scrub and clean your window, and then pass the electric squeegee which will suck up the product and dry the wall.
But what are the drawbacks of using a window cleaning robot?
Let's be honest, even though the window cleaning robot allows you to avoid 99% of the effort associated with cleaning, it doesn't work like magic.
Your tasks will be as follows:
Plug in the appliance, moisten the pads, and place it on the window to be cleaned. You will also need to attach the safety cord if you are cleaning high exterior windows or very high surfaces.
Another drawback: If your windows are divided into small panes, the window cleaning robot will be tedious to use. You will have to move it over each division of the window one after the other.
Make sure you have windows of at least 50 cm to clean. If you only have mini tiles, the robot will not be very pleasant to use. Often the minimum size is 30 cm by 30 cm to use a window cleaning robot.
In the end, you should choose a window cleaning robot if your glass surfaces are quite large and not divided into small panes. It will be particularly formidable on surfaces larger than 50 cm. It will allow you to save a lot of time on your cleaning sessions.
It will also allow you to clean inaccessible or high windows, which would have required you to climb onto a chair or stepladder and scrub with your arms outstretched.
In summary, how to make your choice?
The choice among the different models of window cleaning robots on the market must be made on the one hand according to your needs, and on the other hand, according to the characteristics of the product.
What surfaces would you like to clean?
Just the windows? Windows and French windows? A veranda roof?
Do you want a multi-surface appliance capable of cleaning your shower walls and tiles?
If you want to clean several types of surfaces, it is highly recommended to opt for a window cleaning robot with a vacuum detector (because shower walls sometimes do not have a frame, and the robot must be able to take this into account to clean without falling.
The thickness of your windows does not matter, however they must be flat and especially not curved or rounded. You must also pay attention to the type of power supply of the robot you wish to purchase.
Is it wired or battery powered? Battery powered models have a short battery life, you won't be able to do all your windows at once, you will need to plan a charging session of several hours between the different windows.
The wired model will be more powerful, with unlimited autonomy, but it will have to be less than a few meters from a power outlet. We invite you to check the length of the power cord before purchasing a wired model.
The noise level is also a major argument. Indeed, some window cleaning robots use low-end motors with a very high noise output. This can be interesting because you will pay less for your robot. You do not have to stay very close to it while it is working.
But it is certain that if you use it regularly, your window cleaning robot will have to not emit too high a sound volume. You must also make sure that your robot is delivered with the following features and accessories:
The robot must be equipped with a methodical navigation system, otherwise its movements on the window will be random, and the window will not be cleaned in its entirety.
A fairly large number of microfiber cloths, which will allow you to wash all of your windows with clean cloths, without going back and forth with the washing machine.
A remote control is also desirable, because even though the device moves intelligently and automatically, there will be special cases where you will want to direct it by hand.
A power cord of at least 3 meters, and the possibility of adding your own extension cord.
We advise you to opt for a model provided with quality assistance and a solid guarantee, in order to avoid unpleasant surprises and to protect yourself from the hazards associated with small household appliances (breakdowns, malfunctions, electronic problems).
If the device you want to buy has a money-back guarantee, make sure that this guarantee covers the return shipping costs, and that the refund is full.
How to form your own opinion?
Remember that the window cleaning robot is not magic, it is up to you to place it on the wall to be cleaned, and then position it on the next one. If your windows are only small panes, the operation will quickly become restrictive.
On the other hand, if you decide to buy a model that is too low-end, you will be disappointed by the cleaning quality, and you will quickly start to do the task by hand.
Even if you decide to use this low-end device that does not satisfy you, it will soon break down and you will have to replace it.
The savings made at the start will therefore be quickly made up for…
This is why it is important, during your research phase, to think carefully about your needs, and to take into account the fact that to function well, and in the long term, you will have to invest a certain price, and not opt for the lowest-end model.
But how can you tell the difference between the different range levels? And where can you find an efficient window cleaning robot at a good price? Today this technology has become more widespread and more and more consumers want to get their hands on it.
So you will find very good products in stores without any problem. But be careful, not all offers will necessarily be available in department stores.
For example, our window cleaning robot is currently only sold on our website. This allows us to offer an attractive price without compromising quality. Our competitors, for example, will offer products at the same price but of lower quality, or more expensive ranges that are equivalent to ours.
For the reason we mentioned earlier: The price of products sold in stores takes into account the margin taken by the store to pay its overheads. On our site you will benefit from as much advice as in store, with the possibility of being informed by telephone on our products and their characteristics.
You will also benefit from privileged contact with our after-sales service in the event of a defect or breakdown. Extended monitoring is also in our DNA, because we guarantee the availability of spare parts for the next 10 years.
Now it's up to you to decide!
We have seen together how window cleaning robots work, what the different technologies are, and how these devices can help you in your daily life.
